Church Planting and Replanting
To be a self replicating body we will engage in church planting. We would need to first create a leadership team and find a pastor. We would like to do this by intentional staff planning. In order to infuse our DNA into the leadership, we would either send one of our pastors or hire a pastor to serve for a while at Providence and then go out. We would also need to send resources that would be planned into the budget and taken by offering or monthly support checks. Our Providence staff and congregation would assist with children, students, publicity through service, set up, and who knows what else.

In addition, we are called as a church in a region where many churches have neglected their calling and responsibilities. They have neglected the true Gospel of Jesus and been wooed by many other things. Sadly, many churches have gone too far to recover and are dying. We hope to serve the remaining believers at these churches and be good stewards of the investment made in property by previous generations of believers. We are calling this goal church replanting. This would look different in every circumstance, but the consistent goal would be to help a church gain a missional focus and reestablish the church as a Gospel advancing, organic church. This would again require staff, leadership, and resources. We would also need our greatest spiritual and legal minds to help us find a way to do this in a good and healthy manner.

INTERNATIONALLY

Juarez, Mexico
In July of 2011, 19 people went on Providence's first mission trip. We went to Juarez, Mexico through a mission organization called Casas por Cristo (Homes because of Christ). The team built a house from the ground up. But more importantly a seed for the Gospel was planted.
